A short, plain note.
Dwell runs this site. This note covers what we collect here and why, in plain language. The Dwell app has its own note at dwellapps.com/app/privacy.
If you join the waitlist, we store your email, anything you typed in the optional note field, the time you signed up, which page you came from, any UTM parameters in the link you clicked, and a rough country derived from the request — not your IP address.
We use that to send you one confirmation email and, eventually, one launch email. If we ever want to write to you about anything else, we’ll ask first.
We do not sell your email. We do not rent the list. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. Our email vendor sees it because it has to in order to deliver mail.
Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link that doesn’t require a login. You can also email hello@dwellapps.com and we’ll delete your row by hand.
How we measure the site
We keep aggregate counts of page loads to see how the site is doing. We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people move through the page, through session recordings and heatmaps. We mask form fields, so your email and anything you type are never captured in a recording. Clarity is a Microsoft service and sets cookies; its data is covered by Microsoft’s privacy statement.
Where the law asks for it (the EU, the UK, the EEA, and Switzerland), we ask your permission first, and Clarity stays off unless you accept. Everywhere else it runs by default, which is why we spell it out here. You can always block it with your browser’s tracking protection.
Cookies: the site itself sets none. Microsoft Clarity sets a couple if it runs, to recognize a session. That is the only cookie source on the site.
